DESCRIPTION:WOMENS’ IN-HOUSE RETREAT – “Friendships Don’t Just Happen”\, Reflections on Friendship. SATURDAY\, APRIL 22\, 2023\, 10 am – 2:00 pm\, in the Fellowship Hall. Based on the book of the same title by Shasta Nelson and presented by The Rev. Jennifer McCleery and The Rev. Marcia Cox. \n  \nWhile we might have a number of friends and/or wish for new ones in the future\, it is good for us to acquire a deeper understanding of the meaning and nature of friendships\, which are grounded in God’s love for us and desire for us to care for one another. But friendships need to be nurtured\, so in this retreat we will articulate the characteristics and nature of the friendships we have and that are possible. This will enable us to become more aware of the varying degrees of expectations from the people we consider friends. as well as the things that they might expect from us.
